The computer science program offers a comprehensive foundation in the theory and practice of computing. It covers essential topics such as algorithms, programming, data structures, and system architecture, equipping students with the skills to solve complex problems, manage data efficiently, and develop software solutions. This program prepares students for advanced exploration in the rapidly evolving field of computer science, fostering both technical proficiency and analytical thinking.

At the end of the semester, the student must be able to write: a letter, an application letter, a summary and a report, taking into account:

- standards and writing techniques;

- information seeking techniques (in a library or on the Internet), its synthesis and exploitation;

- basic principles of writing (punctuation, syntax, sentences, sentence length, division into paragraphs, use of neutral style and third-person writing, readability, objectivity, etc.);

- ethical principles of writing (intellectual rigour and plagiarism);

- sections of a report (cover pages, contents, introduction, method, results, discussion, conclusion, bibliography, annexes, summary and keywords).

This course is based on the technique of learning situations, where the student is put into a concrete situation that has a relationship with the written activities.

The course is composed of learning situations, one or two for each chapter, which will not only lead to discover new knowledge, but also to handle this new knowledge easily and apply them competently.

Each starting situation is built on the same model. It includes a context and the mandate entrusted to the student.
